On behalf of the Minister for Agriculture, the Hon. Mary-Anne Thomas MP, the Department of Jobs, Precincts and Regions (DJPR) is seeking expressions of interest for the position of member of the Animal Welfare Advisory Committee (AWAC), for a term of up to three years.
AWAC is a non–statutory ministerial advisory committee, whose primary role and function is to advise the Minister for Agriculture on matters concerned with animal welfare in Victoria.
A working knowledge of animal welfare legislation, associated regulations and other policies and guidelines relevant to the business of the AWAC or the possession of a higher degree in animal welfare policy or research or veterinary science, or equivalent experience is also desirable.
