Revised Board Guidelines live from 1 May 2021

The functions of the Veterinary Practitioners Registration Board of Victoria include issuing guidelines about appropriate standards of veterinary practice and veterinary facilities (section 62(1)(e) of the Veterinary Practice Act 1997).

These guidelines are referred to by the Board when investigating and assessing the professional conduct of veterinary practitioners.

The revised guidelines, which took effect on 1 May 2021, reflect contemporary expectations of users of veterinary services, the veterinary profession and the general community.
