HAMPL product recall

The Australian Pesticides and Veterinary Medicines Authority (APVMA) has issued a notice to 13 named suppliers pursuant to section 101 of the Agricultural and Veterinary Chemicals Code scheduled to the Agricultural and Veterinary Chemicals Code Act 1994 (Cth) (AgVet Code) No. 06-18 of 2020.

The notice concerns unregistered veterinary chemical products bearing the HAMPL trademark.

The notice requires the suppliers to:
  • immediately stop supply of the HAMPL products to any person
  • immediately notify any person who has possession or custody of the HAMPL products either directly or indirectly because of a supply by the suppliers that they must stop supply of the products and return them to the suppliers immediately, and
  • take all necessary steps to recover all stocks of the HAMPL products from any person that the suppliers have either directly or indirectly supplied the products to.
